Patrick, aka Petey (if you’re besties like we are), was the first Honor Roller at hdyr? College Station. After receiving his new card, he e-mailed us a story more incredible than we could have imagined.
“Thank you! Today I ate at the store here in College Station and all the employees (who know me by name now), were saying they had never seen an Honor Roller card, so I was happy to show it off.
I’d also like you to know that the reason I eat at HDYR so often is because there are so many different combinations, and most everything is healthy; I’ve lost 60 pounds since May 2011 just by making HDYR a regular lunch for myself and working out a bit. So glad I stumbled upon this unique, great franchise!”
– Petey
This e-mail of course prompted a serious investigation – we had to get to the bottom of his claim! Petey was super cooperative (there’s something to be said about how nice and easy-going people from College Station, Texas are) and sent us pictures of him from his heaviest days – about 300 pounds.
We were sold. We had to meet the man who made such a drastic change in part due to hdyr? We invited him to Austin (not exactly a tourist town if you’re an Aggie) to be a spokesperson for the new campaign, A Better You By You.
When we finally met Petey in May of 2012, he was down to 222.7 pounds and full of energy. He was SO excited to share his story for the (little did he know he’d be getting in a decent workout).
Being around Petey, you just can’t help but to feel inspired. He doesn’t settle and is always ready to give 110%. While on set, he would even chat with the photographer and give ideas for shots.
We’re honored to have Petey as a loyal roller and to have met such a cool guy. Check out his story on our website and tell us yours!
